The Sacred Geometry of ourselves - Yantra

For as long as mankind has been around symbols have fascinated us, their architecture invoking inner archetypes. In the tantras ( ancient scripts from India around 2000 years old) maps the human body through a sacred geometry called Yantra.

The word Yantra comes from the root word Yam, meaning to sustain. A Yantra is like a place holder, a fixed image that roots the divine into matter. The heavens to the earth.

The word Yantra also refers to an instrument or a device, something that can be used to perform an action more efficiently, like scissors or a knife.

You could also see it as a centering device or meditation focal point connecting to the larger Self. When we contemplate the different shapes they reveal a map and a compass leading us home. Opening up to all Life has to offer.
